The Arabian Horse Show was at Westworld in Scottsdale two weekends ago and we were comp’d tickets by a family friend and decided to go. Austin had so much fun watching the horses and even tried to take part in one of the events. She also told both Luke and I that she needed a horse. When we decided to leave to get lunch and Austin was asleep before Luke put the car in drive.
This past weekend the Kautzman’s were blessed to host the Villa Family. Carter and Austin played great together and Camdyn, being so mobile for her age, kept up too. Some tears but no violence. Carter slept on a blow up toddler bed on the floor in Austin’s room with her. The kids did great with the “slumber party.” All of the nerves associated with hosting go away the first time that the kids were playing together. We wish our families were closer and could spend more time than a few weekends a year together.
The Villa’s invited us to a spring training game on Saturday. Austin loves sports and being outside, not to mention the vendor foods/treats so she was in heaven. The weather was also perfect!
Speaking of, the weather has been fantastic this past week and we need to take advantage of it before 115’s arrive – parks, walks, baseball. We have also decided that we need to do something at the house for an outdoor play area for Austin that isn’t just dirt and cactus.

Potty-Training; Epilogue
Austin has since had a slight regression – having a few accidents starting this past Sunday and carrying over into Monday morning. It was a scary 24 hours but I think the consistent reaction to her accidents helped her get back into feeling like a big girl again.
We also decided that waking her every couple of hours through the night was just not going to work for everyone involved. Although not recommended by the method we used, we started putting Austin in pull-ups at night. This morning we were very excited to see that she kept ‘em dry. I think we will stick with the pull-ups until she has some consistency at night of no accidents or she tells us she no longer needs them.
